Day 32: Wrong name, pouring rain and eyebrow pain

You know the weather isn't going to be great when you wake up and dark clouds are glooming in the sky. Nevertheless, I had to brace myself and go to the university for my first team meeting to discuss the next film project.

I need me one of these!

The meeting ended and we left with ideas bursting from the seams. I decided to sit in the office and do a bit of admin work (emails, post-it notes, even more post-it notes). The computer was going so slow. After about 10 minutes I couldn't hack it anymore. I rode all the way home in the pouring rain to gather my sanity and be with my beloved laptop.

Me if I stayed at that computer for just 3 more seconds...

Reading through an article I co-wrote and proofread about me and my filming partner's internship for the university's website, my eyes were quickly drawn to a mistake - here's the link. It is a great article, if I may say so myself, but someone has put "Gabriella" in the photo caption. As well as being of multiple ethnicities, I have adopted many variations of my name over the years, including:

Gabriel (last time I checked, I wasn't not a boy)

G (short and simple - nice)

Danielle (may not have understood me when I first introduced myself, but still)

Abigail (not too sure where that one came from)

You only need a bit of courage to correct them... but then it happens again.

Had to be done.

After ending my business call from Sweden (if all goes well I'll reveal but not yet), the sun began to shine and I went to get my eyebrows done. Not because it was sunny, obviously. To be honest, I don't think they even needed doing. I put myself through the pain of plucking just to get a lovely face massage again. And I may have accidentally fallen asleep this time.

I loves it too...

There's nothing wrong with a bit of pampering every now and then, just as long as you're not "monkeying" around!

News just in. I've been informed that the black gentleman I saw the other day sitting outside the restaurant actually lives in Valmiera, is in a relationship with a Latvian lady, they have a mixed race daughter and he visits the university library frequently.

I wasn't imagining him!
