He read my mind... |
I wasn't too sure about this one... |
Peddling through this forest, I had no idea where I was or where I was going. I just had to use my instinct and trust that I wasn't on private property or in someone's garden. It felt great to be out in the open, at one with nature.
A beautiful butterfly stopped me in my tracks and, of course, I took a photo of it! |
Every time I came to a new track, I slightly hesitated about where I would end up, especially this one:
Damn the troll, cross the bridge. |
But like I was saying to a friend yesterday, life is way too short. Thankfully I didn't end up riding into a lake or anything. I just rode and rode until I came to a large allotment for growing vegetables and flowers.
Those who plant trees, be-leaf in the future. |
On my way back home, I felt much more confident about where I was going. As I neared a bridge, a man pulled out on his bike in front of me. He was wearing a full army camouflage uniform. That I can understand. But why he was riding a small purple girl's bike - that I can't quite understand. It made me smile though.
So my Sunday, a day full of working off those killer calories, went by in a flash. When I eventually arrived home, I thought to treat myself with a few biscuits. Oh wait, doesn't that just erase everything I've done today? Must... restrain... self... One can't hurt, can it?
I know how you feel buddy! |
Going to the cinema this evening and eating a large box of popcorn doesn't exactly help either, but watching Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter was well worth a few extra calories. Rewriting American history with the President as a vampire slayer: genius!
